No matter the results…life goes on. It has been almost 3 years since I was first diagnosed with a brain tumor. My latest MRI was a week before Christmas and I was nervous to be honest. The MRI was a breeze, wasn’t nervous about that. We just had to wait a week to review the results with the doctor.
The tumor is stable (last viewed 18 months ago) and the doctor was positive in the meeting (no more side effects and I feel great!). I was a bit disappointed though that the tumor did not shrink more than 25% since the radiation 30 months ago. We will continue to monitor the tumor for the rest of my life.
There is too much to do and experience, including giving back in some way. This is not going to define me.
