The view is different when looking down. Why do some people have a negative outlook on certain aspects in their life? It really boils down to their experiences and the view they decide to take.
When you focus on what is ahead (or up in the sky), this provides a more positive perspective. And as I have gotten older, I prefer to be around people who are kind, compassionate and have a more tolerant way of looking at things.
Here’s a great quote by Stephen Hawking: “Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious. And however difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at. It matters that you don’t just give up.”
Maybe that’s why we enjoy watching the sunset. It has a calming effect, clears your thoughts, and is a wonderful way to end the day.
